  • OnePlus 13 might come with magnetic wireless charging.
  • OnePlus 13 will launch in China in October 2024.
  • It will come to India in early 2025.

OnePlus is all set to launch the next flagship, OnePlus 13 5G in China this month. The smartphone will come to India early in 2025 but before that, it will launch in its home country China towards the end of October 2024. Ahead of the launch, rumors about the specs and design of the OnePlus 13 keep circulating around every day and now there’s a new update. OnePlus’ Li Jie Louis has shared a post on Weibo that claims that the OnePlus 13 might come with magnetic wireless charging capability.

OnePlus 13: Magnetic Charging

A OnePlus fan asked Li Jie Louis whether the bamboo cases will return for the OnePlus 13, to which the exec replied that they are not as of now. However, he also talked about wood grain cases for the upcoming flagship which feels very good. What made this tidbit interesting is that he revealed that the wood grain cases have a magnetic suction function that hints towards magnetic wireless charging, similar to Apple’s MagSafe.

Although the predecessor, the OnePlus 12 also supports wireless charging, this will be the first time the OnePlus device will get a magnetic charging feature. Oppo is also expected to introduce the same feature with the Find X8 series, but OnePlus might showcase it before Oppo.

Reportedly, OnePlus is also working on a range of accessories like a power bank which will come in handy for OnePlus users.

OnePlus 13 is said to feature a 50MP Sony LYT808 main camera, a 50MP LYT600 periscope camera, and a 50MP ultrawide angle lens at the back. Under the hood, the flagship might draw juice from a 6000mAh+ battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capability.
